THE INCOMPLETE MAN is planned as an Argentinian mid to low budget film production.
We are looking for partners in Europe and also for distributors worldwide that are interested in deep and strong stories with social content but also with blockbuster, even if moderated, appealing.
In the short run of the development THE INCOMPLETE MAN -as a project formelly called Carmen del Sauce- has awaken the right interest among institutions and parters. The Script and the project were selected in renamed Workshops and Development Funds and/or Clinics and the project has received many supports from key institutions that aloud us to start preproducing soon.
We will be taking the´lást semester of 2011 to secure production, in order to start preproduction in May 2012.
Little on the production:
LagartoCine is one of the most prestigious production companies in Latinoamérica. With a wide number of international coproductions and many awards at A Festivals. In the coproduction we count with FORASTERO (Chile) which was created in 2009 as a film production company to make “La Nana” (“The Maid”), winner of the “World Cinema Grand Jury Prize Dramatic” in Sundance 2009 and nominated in the Golden Globe Awards for Best Foreign Film. The film has also received the Golden Satellite Award for Best Foreign Film, a Gotham Award (Breakthrough Performance - Catalina Saavedra), and over thirty awards in several international festivals.
And as a german co-production parter we have, a small film atelier, based in Berlin and directed by argentinian producer Vero Martin, which also -in a minor scale- has received many awards and recognition at A Festivals such as: Sao Pablo Intl. Film Festival or or the Intl. Film Festivals of Palm Springs, Kerala, etc.
Our goal is to find another german or european coproducer and distributor in order to secure the making and distribution of this film.
